Boxing
Great the real “ Executioner” Bernard Hopkins has been the talk in You Tube by
Boxing sportcasters and analysts lately. The best in his Middleweight category,
disciplined and one of the most respected boxer in the sport, boxing insiders can’t just take
lightly his commentary on boxing.
His
bottom line: Manny Pacman Pacquiao is alright undoubtedly today’s world’s
greatest. But he’s beatable! And who could they be? African-American boxers, no
less. No way Pacman could stand messing
up with them. He did fight Joshua Clootey. Yes. He was black, a Ghanian but not an American, Hopkins defended. Another
broadcaster, hinted that it’s probably
the reason why he ducked the offer of squaring off against Shane Mosley
because of the perception of possible offset Manny might suffer against
the hungry Mosley. And the possible meeting
with Money Mayweather? No way he could beat Floyd Mayweather, was undoubtedly
the clincher. Incidentally, the latest entry in Bleacher sports carried that
headline singing familiar tune that its Pacman ducking Mayweather!
Pacman have
beaten all those Mexican Greats because their styles fed on him, he seems to
guess. Predictable and seemingly can’t pull their triggers, great coach Freddie
Roach already seconded their performance
lackluster fists conking out
and intimidated everytime facing the
beast Pacman in the ring. Naturally they all just fight for fun and money running
scared to death or met their fate sealed earlier demolished for good ending as statistics in
boxing history. These are the tell-all reality with Manny winning in a row all
those crucial fights against them punctuated with his latest methodical and
brutal demolition of Tijuana Antonio Margarito who it seems as indicated from
his latest medical report might hang his boxing gloves for good because of
cracked cranium and other heavy toll his body suffered from the severe beatings from Pacman.
African-Americans
could give Pacman’s money run. They are skillful like street pugilists in the
mold of Manny and whose talents are borne out of naked survival of the fittest just like
Manny, Hopkins
cleared. Blah, blah, blah. That’s why he stands losing in fighting Mayweather,
he predicts.
How unfortunate Hopkins is with his latest assertion. Well
maybe, because he has been there almost in the ringside in all of Manny’s
fight. But where is that American Floyd when all he needs to do is just sign
the contract and from there let the whole
world know and be entertained who would be there left standing in the ring!
Indeed, what is there to prove more for Manny? Our camp doesn’t buy that trash talk. Manny fights
regardless of creed, race, color and
religion, Michael Kroncz, Manny’s adviser elaborated. He did and many of them blacks
and or mixed colors their names hard to remember but mostly all ended up knocked out.
Why
all this talk on the supremacy of African-American boxers. Sounds like Hitler’s
double glorifying the superiority of
German’s blood against the Semitic and Aryan race. If Hopkins is worth his salt he should bring
them on. But why all this talk of mountain out of molehill creating much ado
against nothing. African-Amerians already have been excelling in many sports.
Unfortunately, they don’t have monopoly of them. The best proof of this is Manny Pacquiao. Good that he acknowledged
Manny’s greatness in boxing. But the
better for him to be serious or he would be charged as racist.
The
comment might have pricked the ire of coach Freddie Roach that Bleacher’s
Sports readily picked up his pronouncements and posted it in that Manny could also beat Bernard Hopkins.
The two commentators are even insinuating that Sugar Ray Leonard might fight against
Manny as if to vindicate their hypothesis that Pacman is far better than
Roberto Duran.
How outrageous
the talk show was. The discussion seems to be running a vicious circle. And this is not good for Manny. Let them just
bite the dust. For what really is there to prove for Manny. As journeyman in
the ring, he has already fought different boxers from proud Latinos to black
pugilists. The best the camp of Bernard Hopkins could do is to bring them on. If not, the better they do is
swallow their saliva and shout up. Life is boxing. Definitely, God did
not choose a race to monopolize it let alone, force the issue that African-Americas have the license that they
are the anointed ones. Crazy!
Incidentally, Pacman has been there proving them dead wrong!
